All other names in these columns are forenames. The bride’s condition (single or widow) is only shown where the father’s surname is different to hers. In many instances, father’s names are not given. Any comments in the father’s name column, other than a name, are shown in italics e.g. deceased etc. Where nothing appeared the word blank has been inserted. In one or two instances the name of the bride or groom’s mother has been given.

Some cells include comments, for example where the bride or groom’s signature differed from how the name was written in the marriage entry. These cells have a small red triangle in the top right corner.
